Year 2012 Preview

December 19, 2011

A busy year 2011 is closing by now, and we would again like to say "thank you" to all of you for participating in the improvement of our products, for many fruitful discussions as well as for the lot of ideas for new features! On this page, we would like to give you a brief outlook what you can expect from Crystal Impact in 2012.

Release of Match! 2.0 in March 2012

The new version 2 of "Match!" is almost finished by now. We have just released another beta version 8 for public download from:

http://www.crystalimpact.com/match/v2_beta.htm

The new beta is (nearly) fully functional, but limited in time until February 29, 2012. With the new beta-version available, there are only very few steps left to finish Match! version 2: Porting of the user database manager from version 1, and completion of the documentation. We currently estimate this to take another 2-3 months, so Match! version 2 will most probably be released in March 2012.

In this context, please note that customers who have purchased (or will purchase) the current version 1 of Match! after August 1, 2010 will be entitled to update to version 2 free-of-charge (only shipping costs must be paid if required).

New Screenshots show updated Diamond 4.0 User Interface

The upcoming new version 4 of Diamond takes more and more shape, with most of the user interface and functionality having been implemented by now. Take a look at exciting new features, by following the updated Diamond 4 feature tour at:

http://www.crystalimpact.com/diamond/v4preview.htm

A beta version is planned to come in June 2012, the final release in the 4th quarter of 2012.

Similar to Match!, customers who have purchased (or will purchase) the current version 3 of Diamond after August 1, 2010 will be entitled to update to version 4 free-of-charge (only shipping costs must be paid if required).

Endeavour 1.8

The "face-lift" of Endeavour (no new functions but a "polished" user interface), already announced for 2011, will come after the release of Diamond version 4.0.

Pearson's Crystal Data Update and Release 2012/13

For the current release 2011/12 of "Pearson's Crystal Data", we have just released an update 1.5a. This update fixes issues affecting the journal names and CODENs, as well as the links to the original publications in the entry data sheets.

If you are using PCD release 2011/12, we strongly recommend to download and install the update to version 1.5a from:

http://www.crystalimpact.com/pcd/update.htm

In July/August 2012, the next annual release 2012/13 of Pearson's Crystal Data will become available.
